Saline Hydration or a Vitamin IV? Understanding the Difference

Saline hydration and vitamin-containing IV infusions are often described together, but they are different treatment choices. A basic hydration bag supplies fluid and salts. A vitamin infusion includes additional ingredients, each of which should have a clear purpose in your treatment plan.
Understanding that difference helps you compare options at IV Vitamin Therapy Clinic in Las Vegas without assuming the bag with the longest ingredient list is the right one for you.
What is in a basic saline hydration infusion?
Our Rehydrate infusion contains saline without added vitamins. It is offered in 500 mL and 1 L options. The listed infusion prices are $85 for 500 mL and $99 for 1 L; confirm current pricing and clinical eligibility before booking.
These are fluid-volume options, not levels of treatment effectiveness. The clinical team decides whether an infusion is appropriate and which volume can be administered. An inexpensive upgrade to a larger bag is not a medical reason to receive more fluid.
What changes when vitamins or minerals are added?
Additional ingredients change the formulation and the screening conversation. Ask for the actual ingredients and proposed doses rather than relying only on a treatment name such as energy, immunity, or recovery.
Our menu includes distinct formulations such as Myers' Cocktail, Rebalance, and Revitalize. They should not be treated as interchangeable. Check the current service page and discuss suitability with the clinician rather than choosing on the basis of a promotional label.
Does a vitamin IV replace oral nutrition?
Intravenous delivery bypasses digestion, but that fact alone does not show that an infusion is necessary or superior for a particular person's goal. Healthy eating and clinician-recommended oral supplements remain separate parts of nutritional care.
The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements explains that supplements cannot replace a varied eating pattern and that excessive intake can cause harm. Share supplements you already take with your clinician so the full picture is considered before additional nutrients are administered.
Questions that make the comparison useful
What is the goal of the proposed infusion for me?
What fluid volume and ingredients are included?
Could oral fluids or another approach address the issue?
What in my history might make this formulation unsuitable?
What are the expected risks, costs, and follow-up instructions?
Avoid interpreting a package name as a diagnosis. A claim about immunity or cellular function needs evidence for the specific intervention and outcome, not simply an explanation of what a nutrient normally does.
