Terms and conditions apply. ABOUT IRON INFUSIONS Iron supports hemoglobin production, red blood cell function, and oxygen transport. An iron infusion delivers iron directly into the bloodstream, bypassing digestive absorption. Iron sucrose may be considered when laboratory results confirm low iron and a licensed practitioner determines that IV iron is appropriate. Results vary by patient. LABS AND APPROVAL Recent iron-related laboratory results must be completed within 28 days before treatment. Testing may include CBC, ferritin, serum iron, TIBC, and transferrin saturation. Intake screening, health-history review, laboratory review, and practitioner approval are required. If updated testing is needed, our clinic can coordinate a Quest Diagnostics referral. Quest laboratory fees are separate. POSSIBLE SIGNS OF LOW IRON Possible symptoms include fatigue, low energy, difficulty concentrating, dizziness, shortness of breath during activity, headaches, pale skin, cold hands and feet, brittle nails, unusual cravings, and restless legs. These symptoms can have many causes and do not confirm iron deficiency. Laboratory testing and clinical evaluation are required. IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION Iron infusions may cause nausea, headache, dizziness, blood-pressure changes, injection-site reactions, or hypersensitivity reactions. Serious allergic reactions are possible. Patients are monitored during and after treatment. Tell the medical team about allergies, medications, medical conditions, pregnancy, previous reactions to IV iron, and any history of iron overload. Scheduling does not guarantee treatment.
